Cannes, France, June 15, 2022 – The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is back after a two year hiatus and the New Zero World is bringing its delegates to engage the creative community for the good of society and the planet from June 20th to 24th 2-22.

The New Zero World is a multi-year initiative endorsed by the UNFCCC Race to Resilience to communicate our collective journey to create a new, resilient and sustainable world. It’s an action-oriented initiative aimed at shifting to a new narrative that will empower the public to act through re-imagining our vision of the future and engaging mainstream culture on global climate solutions. The New Zero World initiative was announced at the Resilience Hub during the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow.

Creative Industries and Brands have an immense capacity to influence culture, generate ideas, co-produce and to distribute to scale and provide significant potential to bring about real change in the world. Technology, Media, Brand and Creative Leaders are looking to transition Industry to a solutions-based agenda for the benefit of society and the planet. Engaging these audiences at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is essential for promoting a new narrative, transitioning from the limiting “Climate Change” to the all-encompassing “EVERYTHING CHANGE” in order to catalyze action, foster new consumer behavior and drive demand for sustainable solutions and real impact.

“This initiative aims to serve as a catalyst for global transformation by creating momentum and scalable solutions. We need all industries on board. We would like to welcome organizations to join us in this effort, from Brands, Agencies and Media Companies to NGO’s and Civil Society Organizations,” said Natalia Vega-Berry, Founder and Executive Producer of the New Zero World.

The New Zero World delegation will be at the Main Stage at Cannes Lions Debussy Theatre on Monday June 20th at 2:30 for an enriching discussion on the meaning behind the “Everything Change” campaign. The delegation is made up of indigenous climate activist Txai Surui, CoinDesk Chief Content Officer Michael Casey, Decentraland Creative Director Sam Hamilton, Musician and UN SDG Global Young Leader AY Young, New Zero World Founder Natalia Vega-Berry, and will feature an original performance by NFT Storyteller, Actor, Filmmaker and Spoken-Word Poet
David Bianchi.

The New Zero World Roundtable Discussion, hosted by Media.Monks at Les.Monks Cafe offers the opportunity for all participants to contribute to a common agenda that drives growth on global and community levels, creates positive impact on society and the planet, and drives Industry innovation. The New Zero World Cocktail Reception features a performance by AY Young and provides an intimate and exclusive space for collaboration at the Les.Monks Cafe.
